Reeflex has teamed up with two prominent marine conservation organisations here in Indonesia to bring you the very best in terms of training and experience.

INDO OCEAN PROJECT

Indo Ocean Project is a marine research and conservation program whose headquarters are located in Nusa Penida within Reeflex Divers.

Their field expeditions in Nusa Penida hosts international and local research projects on marine conservation efforts including marine megafauna, coral restoration, ecological monitoring, community outreach and education programs.

They are constantly seeking hardworking and enthusiastic people to take part in their dive master/research diver-training program and to join the research team.

You don’t need to be a diver or a scientist to join!

Reeflex and Indo Ocean Project have put together 5 different training packages to meet your needs & current diving experience. 

ALL PACKAGES INCLUDE ACCOMMODATION, IN COUNTRY TRANSPORTATION, AND 2 PROGRAM SHIRTS, VISA ASSISTANCE, PRE ARRIVAL TRAINING MATERIALS, PRE ARRIVAL SUPPORT, AND 5 CONSERVATION AND RESEARCH SPECIALTY COURSES

**Minimum age requirement to take part in any of our programs is 20 years old**

PACKAGE #1: DIVEMASTER

Description: For experienced diver’s who have completed most of their diver training before program start date.

Prerequisites: For candidates who have completed their Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, CPR/First Air & O2 Provider courses prior to their program start date. Have a minimum of 40 logged dives and have been cleared for diving by a doctor.

Courses Included: SSI Dive Guide & Science of Diving, SSI Dive Master, Marine Ecology Specialty, Shark Ecology, Manta Conservation, Coral Restoration & Identification, Turtle Conservation

Minimum Time Commitment: 8 weeks

Program fees: 43,000,000 IDR​

PACKAGE #2: RESCUER

Description: For advanced divers who need to complete their rescue skills during their program.

Prerequisites: For candidates who have completed their Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver courses prior to their program start date. Have a minimum of 20 logged dives and have been cleared for diving by a doctor.

Courses Included: Rescue Diver, EFR CPR/First Air & Oxygen Provider, SSI Dive Guide & Science of DivingSSI Dive Master, Marine Ecology Specialty, Shark Ecology, Manta Conservation, Coral Restoration & Identification, Turtle Conservation

Minimum Time Commitment: 10 weeks

Program fees: 51,000,000 IDR

PACKAGE #3: ADVANCED

Description: For divers with beginner knowledge and experience who have completed their open water course and a few extra dives.

Prerequisites: For candidates who have completed their Open Water Diver training prior to their program start date and have been cleared for diving by a doctor.

Course Included: Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, EFR CPR/First Air & Oxygen Provider,SSI Dive Guide & Science of Diving, SSI Dive Master, Marine Ecology Specialty, Shark Ecology, Manta Conservation, Coral Restoration & Identification, Turtle Conservation

Minimum Time Commitment: 12 weeks

Program fees: 59,000,000 IDR

PACKAGE #4: BEGINNER

Description: For applicants who have no previous diving experience and need to complete all the required prerequisites to complete your Dive Master certification.

Prerequisites: Comfortable in the open water, can complete a timed 400m free swim and tread water for 15 minutes, have been cleared for diving by a doctor.

Course Included: Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, EFR CPR/First Air & Oxygen Provider,SSI Dive Guide & Science of Diving, SSI Dive Master, Marine Ecology Specialty, Shark Ecology, Manta Conservation, Coral Restoration & Identification, Turtle Conservation

Minimum Time Commitment: 14 weeks

Program fees: 69,500,000 IDR

PACKAGE #5: RESEARCH DIVER

Description: For divers who do not want to complete the dive master course and just focus on conservation and research activities and courses.

Prerequisites: For candidates who have a minimum of Rescue Diver certification. Have a minimum of 60 logged dives and have been cleared for diving by a doctor. You must be a competent diver before entering this program.

Courses Included: Marine Ecology Specialty, Shark Ecology, Manta Conservation, Coral Restoration & Identification, Turtle Conservation

Minimum Time Commitment: 4 weeks

Program fees: 22,250,000 IDR

 

OCEAN GARDENER

Ocean Gardener is a fully licensed NGO dedicated to coral reef education. It was founded in 2016 by Vincent Chalias and Nicole Helgason. Both founders combine decades of experience and created the first legal mariculture farms in Indonesia, allowing coastal communities to live sustainably and providing solutions to restore damaged reefs.

Sustainable Coral Farming is based on the study of the relationship between organisms and their environment.

Ocean Gardener & Reeflex teamed up to bring you the knowledge &  restoration methods adapted to each species of coral through a comprehensive training program.

Coral Diver Course

Coral reefs are an incredibly complex and diverse living network providing shelter and food to a great number of marine species and humans.

You might already know that without our precious coral reefs, the diving world we enjoy would be a much bleeker place.

In this course you will learn what the foundations of a coral reef ecosystem are, how to identify coral species, and the potential dangers corals can face from ongoing human contact.

You’ll also learn about coral diversity, coral identification, coral fragmentation and farm maintenance.

Includes:

5 ocean dives, 3 Coral identification slates, Ocean Gardener Online Certification and a Coral Diver T-shirt
